Terms of Use

In this policy, “us”, “we”, or “our” means Security INC, operators of this website. 'Security INC' is an abbreviation of the trading name, 'Security Intelligence Network Consultants'.

These terms of use govern your use of and access to this website and any service and/or product provided by Security INC.

We may change part or all of the Terms at any time. The most current Terms will always be posted on the website. Your subsequent or continued use of this website, our products and services will constitute your acceptance of any changes made to these terms. If you object to any of the terms in this document, or to any changes made to them, your only remedy is to immediately cease use of and access to this website, our products and our services.

Purchasing

1. MINIMUM AGE AND LEGAL CAPACITY

Purchasing products or services on this website or via our business is restricted to individuals 18 years of age or older. Individuals below the age of 18 may have purchases made on their behalf by a parent or guardian.

Should we suffer any loss or damage as a result of a transaction entered into by a minor, we reserve the right to seek compensation for such losses from the parents or guardians of the minor who caused the order to be placed.

2. ACCURACY OF PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

All products and services listed on this website are described to the best of our abilities and using the information available to us at the time. Care is taken to ensure that this information is correct, but we cannot eliminate the possibility of:

  • Human error in entry of information

  • Incorrect information provided to us by suppliers or distributors

  • Failure of suppliers or distributors to supply updated information to us

We reserve the right to change any information including but not limited to pricing, specifications, descriptions, or product names without notice.

3. PRODUCT PAYMENT

All orders must be pre-paid before fulfillment. All orders are placed in Australian dollars.

In the case that you pay for an order with your credit card, we do not store your credit card number on our servers, however it may be retained by our payment gateway provider in circumstances where this is required.

In the case of offline payment, we will contact you to arrange payment. This process must be completed before your order can ship.

In cases where your payment for an order fails for reasons including but not limited to insufficient card credit, or cheque dishonour, we do not warrant that stock will be held until an alternate payment method is available or the original payment method made to function.

4. SERVICE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All services provided to you (the client) by Security INC (the service provider) are bound by our 'Service Terms and Conditions'.

Our standard invoice terms are seven (7) days or as written on our invoice to you. *See Section 10. PAYMENT TERMS for more details.

We may agree to make a special arrangement with you regarding our seven day accounts however, we reserve the right to revert back to our standard terms if:

  • Changes are made to the services provided

  • There is regularity with overdue accounts

  • There is any form of payment difficulty

  • We request it in a written letter to you or your accountable person within seven (7) days

By contracting our services, you understand and agree to all our 'Terms of Use' in this document. If there are any concerns by the client, they are required to contact Security INC in writing prior to the service being carried out.

5. PRICES AND TAXES

Prices are displayed to Australian visitors of this website (unless otherwise marked) including GST if applicable to the product, and in Australian Dollars.

If we determine that you are in a foreign country, we may display prices to you without GST and/or in alternate currencies.

6. RETURN POLICY, Exchange and Refund Policy:

Our customer satisfaction is our first priority and our Returns, Exchanges and Refund Policy is designed to protect you as a consumer and Security INC as a Reseller of this product.  
1. Returns and Exchanges
What is covered:
a. If your item is faulty upon receipt we will gladly exchange the item(s). Prior to returning any item(s) you must contact Security INC on 1300 012 400 to discuss the faulty issue and allow Security INC to troubleshoot the problem. Please note batteries are not covered by this Policy.
b. If it is a case of 'item not as described' this is to protect you in case an incorrect item has been sent. You must contact Security INC on 1300 012 400 to advise of this situation. Security INC will arrange to have the item(s) replaced and cover the cost of having the incorrect item(s) returned.
c. If you have purchased an incorrect item or package or decide the item or package is not suitable for your situation or application Security INC will assist with exchanging the item(s) or package for a more suitable product. You are required to cover the cost of returning the original item(s) or package as well as covering the shipping charges for the exchanged goods.
d. All returns and exchanges are subject to us receiving the goods back within 7 days of the delivery or procession date. Items must be returned with their original packaging and unless they were damaged prior to you receiving them, must still be in an unused and original condition.
2. Refunds:
a. A refund will be issued in the situation whereby Security INC is unable to repair or replace and faulty item(s) as long as no physical damage has occurred and the item is in its original condition. We will not be held liable for damage to products incurred during return shipping.
What is not covered:
b. Change of mind is not covered under our Returns, Exchanges and Refunds Policy. This includes changing your mind because you feel the item(s) or package does not suit your situation or application. The specifications and images are available online and it is your responsibility to read and understand this information. If you feel the item(s) or package you have purchased does not suit, Security INC will cover you under Clause (1.c ) of the Returns, Exchanges and Refunds Policy.
c. Please note batteries are not covered by the Returns, Exchanges and Refunds Policy.
3. Returns Process:
a. Please contact Security INC on 1300 012 400.

7. TAX INVOICE

Upon completion of your order, we will supply a Tax Invoice to you in the form of an email. Please ensure that the email address you have provided us is correct.

8. SECURITY

We use industry-standard SSL encryption where applicable to protect the privacy of information in transit between this website, yourself, and our suppliers including payment gateways.

You acknowledge that the security of communications sent by electronic means cannot be guaranteed. You provide information to us via the internet at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for misuse or loss of, or unauthorised access to, your personal information where the security of information is not wholly within our control.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Under no circumstances will we be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or other damages resulting from the purchase, delivery, use, or return of any product or service purchased from this website beyond the value of the item purchased, including but not limited to loss of profits or interruption to business.

10. PAYMENT TERMS

Full payment of an invoice is required within a 7 day period unless otherwise stipulated on the original invoice from Security INC. Security INC will contact the client after that period if payment has not been received. Security INC will provide the client with no more than two (2) reminders before sending a 'Letter of Demand' which will be the final correspondence prior to legal action. Security INC reserves the right to apply a daily 10% increase on the original invoice plus an administration fee of $30 for any overdue invoice existing after the original due date.

11. CANCELLATION POLICY

As a mark of mutual respect and professionalism, we would be grateful that any cancellation or re-scheduling be communicated to Security INC with as much notice as possible. Therefore at least 5 days notice for cancellation by the client is expected, anything less will incur a reasonable charge up to 70% of the original quote.

Any cancellation within 24 hours of the agreed commencement time will incur charges up to 100% of the original quote.

12. CANCELLATION BY SECURITY INC

In the unlikely event we need to cancel, wherever possible 7 days notice will be given and an alternative date will be offered.

Security Alarm Terms & Conditions

1. SHIPPING INFORMATION

Security INC will use or not use any shipping method that suites the business requirements and gets the product to the customer. Shipping, postage and/or handling charges are charged to the customer of the product and will be displayed on the purchase order.

2. DISCOUNTS & PROMOTIONS

a) Discounts and promotions are valid for a minimum of one (1) week and maximum of twelve (12) months.

b) Only one (1) discount or promotion can be used per order unless otherwise approved by Security INC.

c) A discount or promotion cannot be used after an order has been placed or in conjunction with any other offer, discount or promotion unless otherwise approved by Security INC.

d) Discounts and promotions are only available while stocks last and are non-transferable, not for resale and not redeemable for cash.

c) Security INC reserves the right to withdraw, amend or cancel a discount, promotion or offer at any time.

3. RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

What is covered:

You are required to cover the cost of returning the original item(s) or package as well as covering the postage charges for the exchanged goods.

packaging and unless they were damaged prior to you receiving them, must still be in an unused and original condition.

5. RETURNS PROCESS

Please call Security INC on 1300 012 400.

6. WARRANTY

Our Chuango products are covered by a one or two year warranty, depending on the product you purchase and the warranty will be valid from the date of purchase.

If you purchase an accessory item(s) and have not purchased your alarm system from us, the warranty period is limited to one year from the date of purchase. We will assess and/or repair/replace the faulty item under warranty as long as it is returned to us within the warranty period. Proof of purchase will also be required. Any item(s) being returned under warranty that is found not to be faulty will incur a service charge of $99 and shipping fees will also be at the purchasers expense. Any items that are returned damaged will not be covered under warranty. Please note the warranty excludes cover for batteries.

General Terms

1. JURISDICTION

These terms shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tasmania to determine any matter or dispute which arises under these terms.

2. ACCESS

While we make every reasonable effort to ensure that the website is available and fully operational at all times, we do not make any representation or warranty that your access will be uninterrupted or error free. Your access to this website may be suspended without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or any reason beyond our control.

We reserve the right to change or discontinue any feature or service on the site at any time without notice.

We reserve the right to terminate your access to this website and prevent further access without warning or notice in response to breaches of this policy by yourself, breaches of any applicable laws, or suspicious activity.

3. CONDUCT

You must not use, or attempt to use this website:

  • in breach of any applicable laws of the State of Victoria, Commonwealth of Australia, or local laws in your jurisdiction

  • to impersonate any person or entity

  • to solicit money, passwords, personal information or other property from any person or entity

  • to harm, abuse, harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate or offend any person or entity

  • to publish or facilitate publication of personal information of a third party without their consent

  • to publish or facilitate publication of material for which you do not have ownership, title, or consent from the owner or title holder to do so

  • to publish or facilitate publication of pornographic or offensive material

  • to publish or facilitate publication of material including viruses or other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt or damage the functionality of computer software or hardware

  • to publish or facilitate publication of advertising material for yourself or any other party without our express consent to do so

Breaching of these rules of conduct may result in termination of your access to this website and prevention of further access without warning or notice.
